The Northern Territory’s best business and export success stories have been recognised at the 2025 NT Export and Business Awards.
The Awards recognise outstanding achievements of the Territory’s local businesses, start-ups, and international exporters in a wide range of industries across the Northern Territory.
The film company behind the movie ‘Kangaroo’ that showcase Central Australia, Brindle Films, was named the Chief Minister’s Northern Territory’s Exporter of the Year for 2025.
The heartwarming movie was released nationally and internationally in September showcasing Central Australia’s unique and beautiful landscapes to the world. Brindle Films has been recognised for its innovative storytelling and renowned reputation for delivering world class content for global audiences.
Now in its 32nd year, the Chief Ministers NT Export Awards celebrate the achievements of Territory businesses exporting home-grown products and services to the world and to also raise the profile of our exporting capabilities.
Chief Minister, Lia Finocchiaro said Territory exporters contribute over $12.82 billion to the Territory economy last financial year and are a significant contributor to Australia’s national trade.
“Under our Rebuilding the Economy Strategy, we want to make the Territory the best place in the nation to live, work, visit and invest,” said Mrs Finocchiaro.
“International trade is an important part of rebuilding the economy, and these awards celebrate the Territory businesses taking our products and expertise to the world.
“By backing our exporters, we’re creating more local jobs and growing the Territory’s future,” she said.

Minister for Trade, Business and Asian Relations, Robyn Cahill said Territory businesses and exporters are rebuilding the economy, driving growth, innovation and local jobs.
“The Business and Export Awards don’t just recognise success — they shine a spotlight on Territory excellence in business on the world stage. Congratulations to all our winners and finalists,” said Ms Cahill.
“Territory businesses are among the nation’s most dynamic — and we’re creating the conditions for them to thrive.”
Chamber of Commerce CEO, Glen Hingley said, “Export is vital to the Northern Territory economy, as it injects new capital, drives job creation, and strengthens our appeal to international investors seeking partnerships with locally owned companies. By expanding our export capabilities, we not only grow local industries but also position the Territory as a globally competitive and investment-ready region.”

The 2025 NT Export Awards winners were acknowledged for their success on the international stage and the impact they have had on the local and national economy, they include:

Winners of the Northern Territory Export Awards progress as finalists in the Australian Export Awards to compete against their peers and receive national recognition.
The Australian Export Awards ceremony will be held in Canberra on 26 November.
