Brisbane police officer charged with stealing

A 45-year-old male Senior Sergeant from the Brisbane Region has been served with a notice to appear in relation to alleged stealing of shop goods.

In a statement, Queensland Police said the officer had been charged with stealing, allegedly committed while off duty.

“The member has been stood down from the Queensland Police Service and is expected to appear in the Holland Park Magistrates Court on 18 September 2026,” QPS stated.

“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct. This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.”
