Civil works are now underway to deliver Stage 1 of DevelopmentWA’s 138-hectare Yilkari Industrial Park in Kalgoorlie, the WA Government has today announced.
The Yilkari Industrial Park, formerly known as Anzac Drive West, is planned as a 138-hectare general industrial estate.
Located on the corner of Great Eastern Highway and Anzac Drive, opposite Anzac Drive Industrial Park, the new estate will ultimately deliver 120 general industrial lots.
Stage 1 lots will range in size from 2,500 square metres to 1.8 hectares and are expected to attract strong interest from both Western Australian-based and interstate businesses.
“The Cook Labor Government has released a record amount of land and is committed to diversifying the economy of the Goldfields-Esperance region,” said Planning and Lands Minister, John Carey.
“The development of Yilkari Industrial Park will lead to industry diversification and growth for Kalgoorlie-Boulder and the wider Goldfields region.
“These general industrial lots are expected to support the growth in a variety of industries, including mining support services, transport/logistics, fabrication and manufacturing.”
Thirteen lots will be made available by pre-sale next month. All lots will be serviced with power, water, NBN, and have direct access to the RAV10 heavy vehicle road network.
Titles are anticipated in July 2026.
The development is forecast to attract around $200 million in private investment and create 700 construction jobs over the next decade.
Once fully operational, the development will deliver 850 new permanent jobs and a $300 million annual boost to the local economy.
“The Cook Labor Government has a long-standing commitment to unlock a more diversified Goldfields economy,” said Goldfields-Esperance Minister, David Michael.
“With the release planned for next month, we look forward to welcoming new businesses to the area, which will bring more long-term jobs,” he said.
“Yilkari will provide a long-term asset to the resources sector but will also provide more opportunities for other industries to get established,” said Kalgoorlie MLA, Ali Kent.
“This high-quality industrial estate will play a crucial role in strengthening the city’s long term economy quality development.”
