A NSW Police Force civilian employee has been charged following an alleged assault following an incident in Sydney earlier this year.
In a statement, NSW Police said that on Thursday 27 August, officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports of an assault at a supermarket in Sydney’s inner west the same day.
“Following inquiries, about 11.30am yesterday, a 65-year-old man – a NSW Police Force civilian employee – was issued a Future Court Attendance Notice for the offence of common assault,” Police said.
He is due to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Friday 4 December.
The man is being managed in the workplace, NSW Police stated.
