Victoria Police officer charged

A constable from the North West Metropolitan Region has been charged following an internal investigation.

In a statement, Victoria Police said the 30-year-old male officer had been charged with three counts of misconduct in public office and one count of attempt to pervert the course of justice.

The charges relate to alleged incidents that occurred between April 2012 and September 2018 while the officer was on duty.

He has been charged on summons to appear at court at a later date.
