Two men have been charged after allegedly escaping from Townsville Correctional Centre last night.
The 21-year-old man and 35-year-old man were both taken into custody at different locations today, Queensland Police confirmed in a statement.
The 35-year-old has been charged with one count each of escape by person in lawful custody and contravention of a domestic violence order.
The 21-year-old was charged with one count of escape by person in lawful custody.
Both are expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court tomorrow.
