Queensland Rail Chief Executive Officer, Kat Stapleton, has notified Queensland Rail staff she will not seek to extend her appointment, which will conclude in April next year.
In a statement, Minister for Transport and Main Roads, Brent Mickelberg, thanked Ms Stapleton on behalf of the Queensland Government for her contribution as Chief Executive Officer of Queensland Rail over the past four and a half years.
“Ms Stapleton has led Queensland Rail as the organisation recently secured in-principal agreement with its workforce across seven enterprise agreements, and I wish her success in future endeavours,” said Minister Mickelberg.
“Ms Stapleton will continue in her role until April, while a merit-based selection process to find a new CEO for Queensland Rail will begin shortly.”
