A 48-year-old male off-duty Sergeant from the South Eastern Region has been served with a notice to appear in court in relation to an alleged mid-level drink driving offence while driving their personal vehicle.

It will be alleged the man returned a BAC reading of 0.111% following a routine RBT on September 3 in Slacks Creek.

“The member has been stood down from operational duties and is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on September 18, 2024,” Queensland Police said in a statement.

“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct. This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.”
