NSW Police employee charged with stealing

A NSW Police Force unsworn employee has been charged following an investigation into an alleged stealing incident on the Central Coast.

In a statement, NSW Police said that at around 6.25pm on Friday 5 September, a woman allegedly stole cash from a wallet while at a licenced premises on the Pacific Highway, Wyong.

“The woman left the premises; however, later returned to the venue and returned the cash to the victim,” NSW Police said.

The incident was reported to police attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District who commenced an investigation into the incident.

“Following inquiries, the 24-year-old woman – a staff member attached to a specialist command – attended Wyong Police Station on Friday 12 September 2025 and spoke with investigators.”

“She was subsequently issued a court attendance notice for larceny, and will appear before Wyong Local Court on Wednesday 29 October 2025,” Police said.

The woman has been suspended with pay and her employment status is under review.
