Two serving NSW Police officers have been charged following an investigation into a 2020 incident on the Central Coast.
In a statement, NSW Police said officers from the Professional Standard Command established Strike Force Homburg to investigate an incident at a licensed premises on the Central Coast in December 2020.
Following extensive inquiries, two officers were issued court attendance notices yesterday.
A 49-year-old male senior constable – attached to a command in the Northern region – has been charged with common assault, and a 37-year-old male sergeant – attached to a specialist command – with two counts of common assault.
They are due to appear at Gosford Local Court on Thursday 7 March.
The employment status of both officers is under review, NSW Police said.
