New health sustainability guidance published

The Australasian Health Infrastructure Alliance has published new project resources on key sustainability guidance

Part of the Australasian Health Facility Guidelines, the new resources aim to support project management and operations teams for both new and existing health facilities. They provide advice on electrification, electric vehicle infrastructure and climate resilience and adaptation

The electrification guide charts a clear path for seamlessly integrating electrification into health facilities at every stage of the asset lifecycle.

The EV Infrastructure guide delivers practical strategies to weave EV infrastructure into assets from start to finish.

The Climate Resilience guide tackles climate risks head-on, offering solutions to safeguard infrastructure through thoughtful planning, design, construction, and maintenance.

Each guide contains a series of case studies, and is accompanied by factsheets that summarise key drivers, challenges, opportunities, and high-level processes.

The guidelines are developed by the Alliance, a collaboration of public health authorities across all Australian jurisdictions and New Zealand, administered by Health Infrastructure.
