New Commissioner appointed to SAET

A highly experienced workers compensation lawyer has been appointed as a Commissioner to the South Australian Employment Tribunal.

Since 2015, Danny Connor has been the Manager of the Worker’s Compensation Service, a free legal service funded by ReturnToWorkSA and run by SA Unions to provide advice and representation to injured workers.

He has extensive experience in workers compensation and alternative dispute resolution, and previously worked in personal injury practice at Slater & Gordon Lawyers in Geelong for nearly 15 years.

“I congratulate Mr Connor on his appointment as a Commissioner of the SAET,” said South Australian Attorney-General, Kyam Maher.

“Mr Connor is widely respected by legal practitioners on both sides of the fence for being a practical and conscientious lawyer, who understands the interests of both injured workers and employers.

“His significant experience in workers compensation and industrial relations will be an asset to the SAET, and ensure it can continue to provide timely dispute resolution at the highest level of quality.”

Mr Connor will commence in the role in early September 2023.
