The Victorian Building Authority has announced the appointment of Anna Cronin as its new Chief Executive Officer.
In a statement, the Authority said the appointment marks a significant and exciting chapter for the VBA, as it continues to regulate Victoria’s building and plumbing industries.
“Anna brings a wealth of experience to her new role. She has previously served as Chair of the Government’s Expert Panel on Building Reform and has been actively engaged in consulting with the VBA and other key stakeholders in the building industry. Her understanding of the regulatory landscape and commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency positions her uniquely to lead the VBA forward,” the Authority said.
Ms Cronin said she was honoured and thrilled to assume the role of CEO at the VBA.
“The complexity of the building regulatory system is well-known, and I look forward to working closely with our dedicated team and stakeholders to enhance and streamline our processes. Ensuring consumer confidence and working effectively for the industry will remain central to our mission,” she said.
