Mullewa Hospital tender released to market

The tender for main works for the Mullewa Hospital redevelopment has been released to market by the WA Government.

The new hospital is being delivered following consultation with the local community and will provide access to a range of health services under one roof, said Health Minister, Amber-Jade Sanderson.

“I’m pleased to announce a significant milestone in the Mullewa Hospital redevelopment, with the release of the tender for main works,” said Ms Sanderson.

“The new hospital will represent a modern, fit-for-purpose facility providing the local community with access to the very latest in healthcare technology.”

In addition to enhanced primary and community-care facilities, the facility will continue to provide 24/7 emergency care from a new emergency department.

The package of main works will also deliver multi-purpose consultation rooms, allied health consultation rooms and treatment spaces enabled with virtual care technology and an ambulance bay.

“The Cook Government’s commitment to providing the people of Mullewa with a contemporary facility has not wavered,” said Geraldton MLA, Lara Dalton.

“With detailed plans completed, I’m excited to see the redevelopment move into this important new phase and look forward to sharing updates on progress in the coming months.”

Important site preparations are being completed ahead of main works set to commence later this year.
