Injured officer ‘humbled’ by support of WA Police family

WA Police officer, Ella Cutler, has met with Commissioner Col Blanch and expressed her appreciation for the support shown by WA Police and the community of Western Australia as she recovers from a horror holiday fall in Croatia.

The young officer was left fighting for life in intensive care after the accident in Dubrovnik on 26 August.

She suffered skull fractures, a broken back and ribs, and punctured lungs after falling 10 metres from a wall near the ancient site of Fort Lovrijenac.

In a statement, WA Police said, “Ella is very humbled by the outpouring of love and support she has received.”

Ella’s WA police colleagues helped to raise the half a million dollars needed to get her safety back from Croatia.

“Thank you so much for bringing me home, your kindness is overwhelming,” she said in a video released by WA Police.
