Eaton Community College students have started the year with a brand-new $8.2 million design and technology block, delivering modern, cutting-edge facilities for students in the South West.
The state-of-the-art building features a commercial and domestic food studio with a teaching café, and a dedicated textiles studio.
The transformation includes a mechatronics lab, a fully equipped woodwork and machine workshop, plus a metalwork room, providing students with hands-on learning opportunities across a range of technical fields.
The new facility features a contemporary student hub, a design and planning room, and an external work area to support collaborative learning.
An adjacent staff study area has also been refurbished and incorporated into the new structure, designed by local Bunbury specialists, MCG Architects.

With construction completed in time for Term 1, students and staff are already benefitting from these modern facilities, further strengthening Eaton Community College’s reputation as a leader in design and technology education.
“The new Design and Technology building at Eaton Community College provides our students with a cutting-edge learning environment,” said Principal, Pippa Herbert.
“This space enables our students to unleash their innovation, develop critical problem-solving skills, and build their industry level skills that will prepare them to step into future careers in design, engineering, and technology.”
