Renewable energy CEO reappointed

The Federal Government has today announced the re-appointment of Darren Miller as CEO of the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA).

Mr Miller (pictured) will commence his third three-year term on 27 August 2024, having led the Agency since 2018.

Since joining ARENA, Mr Miller has overseen the commitment of over $940 million for more than 245 projects.

Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Chris Bowen welcomed Mr Miller’s re-appointment.

“Darren has done a tremendous job leading ARENA through a new strategic approach optimising the electricity transition and will continue its success accelerating clean energy innovation to move Australia toward net zero,” Minister Bowen said.

“ARENA’s work is pivotal to this Government’s agenda to transform Australia into a renewable energy superpower.”

Mr Miller has 30 years of professional experience across a range of sectors, with recent experience in renewable energy and electricity retail.
