TAFE Queensland welcomes new CEO and board members

TAFE Queensland has announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer and two new board members to strengthen training delivery across the state.

Tim Rawlings (pictured) has been appointed as chief executive officer, alongside new board members, Kieran Chilcott and Susan Gladman.

The appointments follow a refresh of the TAFE Queensland board to ensure the organisation has the right leadership, experience and industry insight to respond to Queensland’s skills needs and workforce challenges, said Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training, Ros Bates.

Ms Bates said the new leadership team was helping deliver the State Government’s plan to build a stronger, more productive workforce.

“The Crisafulli Government is delivering a Fresh Start for skills and training, with stronger leadership and a clear focus on jobs and outcomes,” Minister Bates said.

Kieran Chilcott.

“Tim Rawlings brings deep experience across training, industry and government, and his leadership will help strengthen TAFE Queensland as a high-performing public training provider.

“Kieran Chilcott and Susan Gladman bring valuable expertise in education, governance and finance, and will add strong capability to the Board as it guides the future of vocational education in Queensland. “
