Weapons cache discovered in SA storage unit

A man has been arrested after South Australia Police seized an array of weapons from a Para Hills West storage unit last week.

In a statement, SA Police said that on Friday 28 November, investigators from Eastern District attended a storage facility on Main North Road and conducted a search of a unit.

Police will allege that they located three bb guns, two gel blasters, a taser, an assortment of live ammunition, 25 edged weapons including machetes and daggers, and eight stolen vehicle registration plates.

Later the same day, the alleged owner of the unit, a 27-year-old man from Ingle Farm was arrested and charged with several offences including possessing a firearm without a licence, possessing an unregistered firearm, possessing a prohibited weapon, and unlawful possession.

He was refused police bail and appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates court on Monday 1 December.
