WA Skills and TAFE Minister, Amber-Jade Sanderson, has announced a series of appointments and reappointments to TAFE Governing Councils across the state.
Leadership changes across the sector take effect from 1 July, including the appointment of new Governing Council Chairs at three WA TAFE colleges:
- Amanda Reid as Governing Council Chair at North Metropolitan TAFE;
- Elizabeth (Libby) Lyons as Governing Council Chair at South Metropolitan TAFE; and
- James (Jim) Walker as Governing Council Chair at Central Regional TAFE.
“These appointments bring a wealth of experience across industry, government, and the community sector, strengthening the leadership of our TAFE system,” said Skills and TAFE Minister, Amber-Jade Sanderson.
“I thank outgoing Chairs and members for their service and commitment and welcome the new and returning members who will guide our TAFE colleges into the future.”
The Government also acknowledged the leadership and service of outgoing Chairs Mara West (North Metropolitan TAFE), Deborah Hamblin (South Metropolitan TAFE), and Christine Rafanelli (Central Regional TAFE). Â
Governing Councils are appointed by government to lead TAFE colleges on behalf of the State.
