WA launches new look services app

The WA Government has unveiled a new ‘user friendly’ design of the ServiceWA app to provide Western Australians with easier access to Government services and the latest information on how to stay safe.

Innovation and the Digital Economy Minister, Stephen Dawson said the fresh new personalised look of the app offers convenient access to key Government services that Western Australians use every day, and added integrations which offer safety information and convenience.

“A key priority for the Cook Government is building a safe and secure environment for all Western Australians,” said Minister Dawson.

“This refreshed and user friendly ServiceWA app is a reliable, convenient and secure way for the WA community to access safety warnings and important Government information.

“As a whole-of-Government platform, the app continues to provide Western Australians with a simple, one-stop digital way to interact with Government.”

ServiceWA app users can customise the app for quick and easy access to alerts and warnings, ranging from bushfire and sharks through to fuel and weather updates.

Users can access:

  • Emergency WA’s bushfire warning notifications: Opt in to receive location-based notifications on bushfire warnings;
  • FishCatchWA: Track and analyse recreational fishing demersal catches in real-time;
  • FuelWatch: Find the best fuel prices across WA through an interactive map;
  • SharkSmart: Stay informed about the latest reported sightings and beach safety advice;
  • Unclaimed Money: Find money the WA Government or organisations owe you; and
  • Weather Stations: Access timely, detailed and local weather data across the State.

In response to community feedback, users can now access the ServiceWA app without needing to log in with their Digital Identity, like myGovID.

More than 1.4 million users have downloaded the ServiceWA app.
