A Victorian protective service officer has been charged following an internal investigation.
The 68-year-old man was charged with sexual assault of a child under 16 and possess and produce child abuse material.
It is alleged the offences occurred in between November 2025 and May 2026 while the officer was off-duty, Victoria Police confirmed in a statement.
He was bailed from court to appear at a Magistrates’ Court.
