A NSW Police officer has been charged over an alleged domestic violence incident in Sydney’s north-west.
In a statement, NSW Police said that just after 9am today, officers from Nepean Police Area Command attended a home in Emu Plains in relation to a domestic violence related incident.
“Following inquiries, officers arrested a 35-year-old man at the home,” NSW Police said.
“The man – a senior constable attached to a specialist command – was taken to Penrith Police Station and charged with stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic).”
Police will allege in court that the man verbally threatened a 33-year-old woman, known to him.
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on Tuesday 5 November.
NSW Police confirmed the officer’s employment status is currently under review.
