A new MidWaste Collaborative Waste Management Guide for Social Housing – based on learnings from the Clean Country Program in NSW – is now available to download.
The Guide provides a practical framework to improve waste management in NSW social housing estates and includes useful tips, tools and case studies to manage common waste issues.
The Guide is underpinned by a collaborative approach that fosters stakeholder engagement to create sustainable localised solutions that benefit tenants and the environment, while aligning with regulatory requirements.
It was developed under the Clean Country Program by MidWaste and the NSW Aboriginal Environmental Health Unit (NSW Health) with the support of the NSW Environment Protection Authority (NSW EPA) and Community Housing Limited (CHL).
