An off-duty NSW Police officer has been charged with low range drink driving after being stopped for a random breath test in Sydney’s north west.
In a statement, NSW Police said that at around 12.30am on Friday 29 November, officers attached to Parramatta Police Area Command stopped a Lexus sedan on Old Windsor Road at Constitution Hill.
“The driver, a 32-year-old man, was arrested after returning a positive reading,” Police said.
He was taken to Parramatta Police Station where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.073.
The off-duty senior constable, attached to a North West Metropolitan Region command, was issued a traffic infringement notice for drive with low-range PCA – first offence.
NSW Police said the senior constable’s employment status is under review.
