Salaried South Australian public servants have officially endorsed a new pay deal, with 77% of Public Service Association of South Australia (PSA) members voting in favour of the agreement.
The new pay deal, which covers around 37,000 government employees, follows more than a year of negotiations and strike action.
It includes a cumulative wage increase, with a headline 10.8% pay rise over three years, to be structured as follows:
- 3.75% backdated to 1 August 2025.
- 3.5% effective from July 2026.
- 3.25% effective from July 2027.
As part of the agreement, employees at the lowest pay scales will also receive a one-off base salary boost of up to $6,000.
