A 34-year-old Queensland Police Senior Constable from the North Coast Region has been served with a notice to appear in relation to the alleged theft of a motor vehicle.
“The member has been charged with stealing of a vehicle, allegedly committed while off duty,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
He has been suspended from the Queensland Police Service and is expected to appear in the Noosa Magistrates Court on 5 August.
“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct,” Police said.
“This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.”
