Queensland Public Sector Commission scholarships on offer

Scholarship opportunities for aspiring and current Queensland public sector leaders are now available.

    Whether you’re leading a team or at the helm of an agency, these scholarships cater to all experience levels, right up to chief executives.

    “The scholarships are part of the Public Sector Commissions commitment to crafting a public sector that’s dynamic, culturally aware, impartial, and excels in service,” the Queensland Public Sector Commission said in a statement.

    “Our partnership with esteemed institutions means we can help emerging leaders, like you, unlock their full potential.”

    ANZSOG Towards Strategic Leadership

    Who it’s for: A08 or equivalent and above

    What you’ll learn: Towards Strategic Leadership (TSL) is specifically designed to meet the needs of senior public servants and provide you with the opportunity to reflect, learn and grow to be able to carry out your role with clarity, wisdom and energy. Public sector leaders are facing exceptional challenges in the demanding, complex modern political landscape. They’re expected to maintain a long-term perspective while dealing with the daily pressures of their roles. TSL has built a formidable reputation in assisting senior leaders to operate effectively in this environment and personally thrive.

    Course duration: Consists of four-day residential and four online consolidation modules.

    QUT Public Sector Management Program

    Who it’s for: There are two eligible groups:

    1. Emerging Leader group:
      • People Leaders: A07 or above and
      • Technical Leaders: A06 or above
    2. Diversity groups:
      • Women in leadership at A06 and up
      • People with a disability
      • People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who speak a language other than English at home
      • Aboriginal people and or Torres strait Islander people

    What you’ll learn: The Public Sector Management Program (PSMP) provides current and aspiring team leaders and program managers with the knowledge and skills to successfully navigate the business of government and position themselves for future leadership opportunities.

    Course duration: Consists of four-day residential and four online consolidation modules.
