Queensland Police staffer charged with theft

A female staff member from the Queensland Police North Coast Region has been charged with one count of unauthorised dealing with shop goods, allegedly committed whilst off duty.

The staff member is expected to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on 2 April.

At the conclusion of the court proceedings this matter will be subject to a discipline investigation and is being managed within the workplace, Queensland Police said in a statement.

“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency, and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct. This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated,” Police said.
