Queensland Police officer charged with drink driving

A 20-year-old male constable from the Queensland Police Central Region has been charged with drink driving.

In a statement, Queensland Police said the officer had been charged with the offence of drink driving, allegedly committed while off duty.

The officer has been stood down and is expected to appear in the Yeppoon Magistrates Court today.

“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct. This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated,” QPS said.
