Protective Services Officer charged following Truganina crash

Victoria Police Professional Standards Command detectives have charged a Protective Services Officer (PSO) following a collision in Truganina last year.

In a statement, Victoria Police said the Sergeant, from the Transit Safety Command, allegedly falsely nominated a driver involved in a collision on 6 October, 2024, while off-duty.

He was charged on summons with attempt to pervert the course of justice and obtain financial advantage by deception.

The 29 year-old was also previously charged with refuse preliminary breath test and careless driving.

He will appear before a court at a later date.
