NSW Police say they are pleased with the behaviour of the majority of the crowd in attendance at the Repco Bathurst 1000 over the weekend.
The high-visibility police response under Operation Bathurst 2025 wrapped up on Saturday, after more than 200,000 people – including competitors, officials and spectators – attended Mount Panorama for the iconic race.
The police operation targeted anti-social behaviour and alcohol-related crime to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all in the event the surrounding township.
Operation Bathurst 2025 Commander, Assistant Commissioner Andrew Holland APM, said it was a successful four-day event and was pleasing to see everyone looking out for one another.
“I am proud to say that there were no arrests made throughout the event, as the overall crowd at the race behaved safely, responsibly and showed respect for one another,’ Assistant Commissioner Andrew Holland APM said.
“As racegoers continue to make their way home, they are reminded drive to the conditions and show patience and courtesy to other road users.
“Police will be alert to ensure everyone is doing the right thing on our roads,” Assistant Commissioner Holland said.
