Police officers charged with revenge porn

A NSW Police officer has been charged with a ‘revenge porn’ offence following an investigation into alleged domestic violence offences.

In a statement, NSW Police said that in June, officers attached to South West Metropolitan Region commenced an investigation following reports a 24-year-old male constable attached to a South West Metropolitan command had allegedly distributed an intimate image of a person known to them without consent.

Following investigations, Police charged the officer with intentionally distribute intimate image without consent (DV).

The man has been issued a Court Attendance Notice to appear before Liverpool Local Court on Tuesday 3 February 2026.

“The officer is not currently in the workplace and is suspended from duty without pay,” NSW Police confirmed.

Meanwhile, NT Police has confirmed a 34-year-old male officer was charged with three counts of distributing an intimate image without consent on 17 December.

“As a result of this incident, the officer has been suspended from duty with pay and is scheduled to appear before the Darwin Local Court on 20 January 2026,” NT Police said in a statement.
