Police officer charged with intimidation

A NSW Police officer has been charged after an alleged intimidation offence in the state’s Central Coast.

On Monday 18 November 2024, officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District commenced an investigation into reports a staff member at a shopping centre was allegedly being threatened by a man not known to her while she was working at the centre on Terrigal Drive, Erina.

Following investigations, on Friday a 44-year-old man – who is a senior constable attached to the Northern Region – was served a Future Court Attendance Notice for stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm and behave in offensive manner in/near public place/school.

He will appear at Gosford Local Court on Thursday 5 June.

The officer has been suspended with pay.
