Police liaison officer suspended

A 38-year-old male Queensland Police Liaison Officer from the North Coast Region has been suspended after being charged with stalking.

In a statement, Queensland Police said the member has been charged with one count of unlawful stalking and two counts of dangerous operations of a motor vehicle, allegedly committed while off duty.

“The member has been suspended from the Queensland Police Service and is expected to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on 18 August,” QPS said.

“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct. This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.”
