A man has been taken into Queensland Police custody following reports of an armed person in Brisbane City this afternoon.
In a statement, Queensland Police said that at around 1.35pm today, officers were called to City Botanic Gardens following reports of a man sitting on a bench holding an edged weapon.
“Around 4.35pm, following negotiations, the man was taken into custody and was transported to hospital with minor injuries,” Police said.
