For the first time, Perth has been named as the next host of the country’s leading medical technology (medtech) conference.
AusMedtech will head west in 2026 with the two-and-a-half-day conference expected to attract hundreds of national and international leaders from the medtech industry.
“AusMedtech selecting Perth as its next host city is a solid endorsement of WA’s biomedical sector becoming a bigger player on the national stage,” said Science and Innovation and Medical Research Minister, Stephen Dawson.
“I was proud to lead a delegation of local biomedical companies and organisations to AusMedtech in Sydney this week, a fantastic opportunity to showcase what our sector has to offer.
“The Cook Government is committed to supporting growth in our biomedical sector, we want to promote our world class capabilities and partner nationally and globally.
“I am looking forward to AusMedtech 2026 and sharing a uniquely WA experience for all who attend.”
The WA Government established its presence during the Sydney AusMedtech 2025 two-day conference with a booth to promote investment and collaborative opportunities in the state’s medtech industry.
