The Tasmanian Government has reached a one-year wage agreement with the Australian Medical Association Tasmania.
In a statement, Premier, Jeremy Rockliff said “our doctors save lives every day, and we thank them for the work they do.
“Together with the AMA, we have delivered a one-year rollover agreement for medical practitioners.
“We are pleased doctors will receive a pay rise while we continue to work closely with the AMA on a long-term agreement and stability of our medical workforce in Tasmania.”
The one-year 3% rollover pay rise is effective from the first full pay period on or after 1 January 2026.
“The Tasmanian Government continues to negotiate in good faith to ensure public servants negotiating new wage agreements receive a pay rise,” said Mr Rockliff.
