Off-duty officer charged with drink driving

An off-duty NSW Police officer has been fined and his driver’s licence suspended after being caught allegedly drink-driving at Bulli yesterday.

In a statement, NSW Police said the 27-year-old man returned a low-range PCA reading at the roadside RBT on Hospital Road about 5.45pm Sunday.

He was arrested and taken to Corrimal Police Station where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.68.

The senior constable – who is attached to a Central Metropolitan Region command – has been issued a $704 fine and his driver’s licence suspended for three months.
