A NSW Police civilian employee has been charged over alleged threats made at a sporting game in the Mid North Coast region last month.

On 3 August 2024, the employee – attached to a specialist command – is alleged to have yelled threats of violence towards players of a sporting team at a venue on Verge Steet, Kempsey.

The incident was reported to officers at Mid North Coast Police District, who commenced an investigation.

Following enquiries, the employee, a 44-year-old woman, was arrested yesterday and charged with affray.

She was given conditional bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on Monday 16 September 2024.
