A 62-year-old NSW Police civilian employee has been charged over an alleged domestic incident in Sydney’s south overnight.
In a statement, NSW Police said that at around 8pm yesterday, officers were called to a home in Turrella, following reports of a domestic incident.
“Officers arrived to find that the occupants, a 62-year-old man – attached to a Specialist Command – and a 62-year-old woman had allegedly assaulted each other, sustaining minor injuries,” NSW Police said.
“They were both arrested and taken to Kogarah Police Station where they were both charged with common assault (DV) and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm (DV).”
Both were granted conditional bail to appear before Sutherland Local Court on Wednesday 5 March.
NSW Police said the man’s employment status is under review.
