NSW officer charged with DV in Victoria

A NSW police officer has been charged in Victoria over alleged domestic violence incidents.

In a statement, NSW Police said that at around 3:30pm on Friday, officers attached to Victorian Police attended a home at Wodonga and arrested a 53-year-old man in relation to domestic violence incidents that are alleged to have occurred between September and October this year.

The sergeant, attached to a command in the Southern Region, was taken to Wodonga Police Station and charged with two counts of common assault.

He was granted conditional bail to appear before Wodonga Local Court on Monday 11 November.

NSW Police said the charged officer’s employment status is currently under review.
