Jane Bennett has been appointed to a three-year term with Western Australia’s Environmental Protection Authority (EPA).
Ms Bennett (pictured) joins Deputy Chair Lee McIntosh and Fiona Haslam McKenzie, Darren Walsh, and Hamish Beck on the independent authority’s board.
“Jane Bennett’s experience delivering major urban development projects, planning policy and legislative reform will further strengthen the EPA’s commitment to the long-term protection of the Western Australian environment,” said Environment Minister, Reece Whitby.
“We are currently implementing the most crucial environmental assessment reforms this State has ever seen, and Ms Bennett’s expertise will be a valuable part of this process.”
EPA members are appointed by the Governor on the recommendation of the Environment Minister.
Ms Bennett is the Owner and Managing Director of CLE Town Planning + Design.
She currently sits on the board of WA Planning Commission and Development WA and is also an Urban Development Institute of Australia Councillor.
