The WA Government has confirmed it will provide a $336,474 Community Housing New Build Grant to community housing provider Alliance Housing WA to build two more social housing dwellings in Dalyellup.
WA Country Builders – part of Western Australian company JHW Group – have begun construction on the one and two-bedroom homes.
The dual key-house development comprises one main and one ancillary self-contained dwelling on a single lot in the Dalyellup Beach Estate, each with its own private courtyard and access.
“Our government is committed to ensuring we meet the diverse needs of tenants across WA,” said WA Housing and Works Minister, John Carey.
“The Community Housing New Build Grants program is a substantial investment to help meet this demand by enabling the construction of social housing with a variety of dwelling types and configurations.
“The program provides critical financial support to grow the community housing sector and is part of our record $5.8 billion investment in housing and homelessness measures since 2021.”
South West Minister, Don Punch said the investment represents the Government’s ongoing commitment to boost social housing in the South West.
“I am thrilled to be part of a government that, through the Community Housing New Build Grant, can help with creative housing solutions for some of the most vulnerable members of our community,” said Mr Punch.
The projet is expected to reach completion in 2026.
