Investigations are underway after a man was hit by a police car in Kings Cross this morning.
In a statement, NSW Police said that at around 3.10am on Saturday, emergency services were called to a brawl in the Sydney CBD.
“Officers from Kings Cross Police Area Command responded to the incident under lights and sirens, travelling along William Street, Darlinghurst,” NSW Police stated.
“Initial inquiries have led police to believe a pedestrian ran onto William Street at the same time and collided with the police vehicle.
“Officers assisted the 35-year-old man at the scene before the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.”
He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
The driver of the police vehicle – a constable attached to Kings Cross Police Area Command – was treated at the scene for shock.
