A 44-year-old man has been charged after a pursuit ended after he crashed his vehicle into a police station in Sydney’s north west.
NSW Police say that at around12.10am yesterday, officers attached to Mount Druitt Police Area Command were patrolling the Great Western Highway, near Colyton, when they attempted stop a sedan being driven dangerously.
“When it failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit continued through Railway Parade, Rooty Hill where road spikes were successfully deployed,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“The pursuit continued through Luxford Road, Mount Druitt where it ended after the vehicle allegedly crashed into the carpark gate at Mount Druitt Police Station.

The driver was arrested following a successful taser deployment and taken to hospital for assessment and mandatory testing.”
Police will allege the sedan being driven by the man was stolen from St Mary’s.
He was charged with police pursuit – not stop – drive recklessly, not comply with direction given by police officer, take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, goods in personal custody suspected being stolen (motor vehicle), and hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty.
He was refused bail to appear before Mt Druitt Local Court.
