Micromobility company, Lime, has been selected as the preferred provider of shared e-bikes and e-scooters in Canberra, replacing the capital’s current operator, Neuron, Transport Canberra has announced.
Following a competitive application process, Lime will start operating in April 2026 for a three-year period, Transport Canberra confirmed in a statement today.
As part of the new agreement, Lime will offer shared e-bikes with baskets in addition to both standing and seated e-scooters, and scooters with baskets, in its Canberra fleet.
The Lime devices will operate in suburbs within:
- Central Canberra
- Gungahlin
- Belconnen
- Weston/Woden
- Tuggeranong.
The Government said services will be extended beyond these areas throughout the term of the permit.
Lime will begin operating in the ACT from 16 April for three years.
