A Victorian parliamentary inquiry into student pathways to in-demand industries will hold a new public hearing tomorrow, Friday 20 March.
Victorian State Manager of National Disability Services, Sarah Fordyce, is scheduled to appear first, followed by representatives of Vacro, a specialist criminal justice reintegration service.
The Committee will also hear from Shepparton Ethnic Council board member, Deng Mading Deng and Committee for Greater Shepparton’s Martina Johnson and Karen Linford.
“We’ve been looking at how to better support students who pursue jobs in in-demand industries, such as health care, social assistance and construction,” said Committee Chair, Alison Marchant.
“We’re also examining pathways to vocational education and training, and higher education, and how well school career development is meeting the needs of students and industry.”
You can watch the live broadcast of the Legislative Assembly Economy and Infrastructure Committee from 10am.
Several public hearings and a youth roundtable were held in November 2025. For full transcripts and upcoming schedules head to the Committee’s website.
