Queensland Police have charged two men with dangerous drug offences following a vehicle stop at Winton, with officers seizing a large quantity of cannabis with a street value of around $500,000.
In a statement, Queensland Police said that at around 6.30pm on 7 November, officers intercepted a white campervan along the Landsborough Highway outside of Winton.
“A search of the vehicle uncovered a large quantity of cannabis with an approximate street value of around half a million dollars,” Queensland Police said.
The two men, aged 42 and 52, both from NSW, were charged with possessing and supplying dangerous drugs.
The 42-year-old man has been remanded in custody and due to reappear before Emerald Magistrates Court on 19 November.
The 52-year-old man has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Emerald Magistrates Court on 2 December.
