Sydney Football Stadium Redevelopment has been awarded the 2025 Rider Levett Bucknall State Development of the Year for NSW, as part of the recent Property Council of Australia’s Innovation & Excellence Awards.
Delivered in partnership with John Holland, the world-class venue sets a new benchmark for stadium design and community engagement, Infrastructure NSW said in a statement following the award announcement.
“The award recognises visionary thinking, its commitment to public benefit and its transformative impact on Sydney’s sporting and cultural landscape. The project will now be in the running for Australian Project of the Year,” it stated.

“We extend our sincere thanks to our delivery partner John Holland, co-sponsor of the award, and to all contributors whose expertise and dedication brought this world-class venue to life.”
The project has also been shortlisted for the Woods Bagot Award for Best Public Building or Social Infrastructure, with winners to be announced in September.
